A. Conditions for the explosion of flammable gases

Explosive gas environments can be divided into three zones according to their degree of danger

Zone 1: Locations where an explosive atmosphere may occur during normal operation.

Zone 2: Locations where explosive atmospheres are unlikely to occur during normal operation, and if they do occur, they do so occasionally and only for short periods of time.
