Petrochemische proceseenheden worden op basis van hun functie ingedeeld in ovens (verwarmingsovens, pyrolyseovens, enz.), vaten (reactoren, warmtewisselaars, separatoren, enz.), tanks (tanks voor grondstoffen, tanks voor tussenproducten, tanks voor eindproducten, enz.), torens (destillatietorens, absorptietorens, enz.), pompen (oliepompen, zuurpompen, waterpompen, enz.), machines (ventilatoren, blowers, compressoren, enz.) en complexe procespijpleidingen die apparatuur met elkaar verbinden. Vergeleken met andere industrie\u00ebn zijn petrochemische productie-eenheden gekenmerkt door ongelijke hoogtes van de apparatuur, grote materiaalverwerkingsvolumes, complexe operationele controles en een mix van dynamische en statische apparatuur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ontwerpfouten, procesdefecten, materiaalcorrosie, drukschommelingen, mechanische trillingen die vermoeidheidsschade veroorzaken en defecten in hogetemperatuur- of cryogene drukvaten kunnen leiden tot lekken en explosies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>(2) Invloed van temperatuur- en drukregeling<\/strong><br>Temperatuur en druk zijn kritieke controleparameters in de petrochemische productie. Een goed beheer van deze parameters is niet alleen essentieel voor de productkwaliteit en -opbrengst, maar ook voor brand- en explosiepreventie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bij de polymerisatie van ethyleen komt bijvoorbeeld 3500 kJ\/kg warmte vrij. Als de warmte niet effici\u00ebnt wordt afgevoerd, kunnen temperaturen boven 350\u00b0C leiden tot explosieve ontleding van ethyleen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>(3) Risico's van onzuiverheden en nevenreacties<\/strong><br>Onverwachte onzuiverheden in grondstoffen of afwijkingen in procesomstandigheden kunnen gevaarlijke nevenreacties of overreacties veroorzaken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>(4) Menselijke fouten en overtredingen<\/strong><br>Strikte naleving van bedrijfsprocedures minimaliseert het brandrisico.
