kuasa secara automatik sebelum penutup lampu dibuka. Apabila menukar mentol (tiub), permukaan sambungan kalis api lampu kalis letupan hendaklah dilindungi dengan betul dan tidak rosak; selepas dibersihkan, permukaan kalis api hendaklah disalut dengan pes fosfat atau minyak anti-karat 204-1, dan dilarang sama sekali menggunakan cat lain; tidak boleh ada lapisan karat pada permukaan kalis api. Jika terdapat sedikit karat, selepas dibersihkan, tidak boleh ada fenomena berlubang. Cincin penyegel yang digunakan untuk tujuan kalis habuk dan kalis air mesti dipastikan utuh. Ini amat penting bagi lampu jenis keselamatan tambahan. Jika cincin penyegel rosak teruk, ia hendaklah diganti dengan cincin penyegel yang mempunyai spesifikasi dan bahan yang sama. Jika perlu, keseluruhan lampu hendaklah diganti. Semasa penyelenggaraan, perlu memeriksa sama ada penutup lampu utuh.
