The additional enclosures should meet the requirements of enclosures with protection level &#8220;tc&#8221;, except for the following exceptions and modifications: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-image uagb-block-94a6c681 wp-block-uagb-image--layout-default wp-block-uagb-image--effect-static wp-block-uagb-image--align-none\"><figure class=\"wp-block-uagb-image__figure\"><a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/led.amasly.com\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" srcset=\"https:\/\/led.amasly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/LED-explosion-proof-lights.png ,https:\/\/led.amasly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/LED-explosion-proof-lights.png 780w, https:\/\/led.amasly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/LED-explosion-proof-lights.png 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 150px\" src=\"https:\/\/led.amasly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/LED-explosion-proof-lights.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"uag-image-1613\" width=\"931\" height=\"396\" title=\"LED explosion proof lights\" loading=\"lazy\" role=\"img\"><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u2014 The heat resistance, cold resistance and UV resistance tests as stipulated in Clause 6.1.1.1 of IEC 60079-31 Edition 2.0 &#8220;Explosive atmospheres &#8211; Part 31: Equipment dust ignition protection by enclosure &#8216;t'&#8221; are not applicable; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u2014 The COT of non-metallic materials should be at least equal to the lower limit of the specified ambient temperature and at least 20 K higher than the maximum operating temperature; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u2014 The additional enclosure is not considered as an external surface, so the UV resistance and anti-static requirements are not applicable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u2014 The requirements for threaded introduction, hinges and threaded fasteners are not applicable; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u2014 The internal additional enclosure shall be subjected to impact tests in accordance with Clause 6.1.1.2 of IEC 60079-31, but no heat and cold resistance pre-treatment is required; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u2014 Pressure tests are not applicable; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u2014 The protection grade shall comply with IP6X. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Reference Materials: IEC 60079-31 Edition 2.0 Explosive Atmospheres &#8211; Part 31: Equipment Protection by Enclosure &#8220;t&#8221; for Dust Ignition [S]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If the equipment with protection level &#8220;ta&#8221; contains components that generate arcs and sparks, additional enclosures should be provided for these components within the main enclosure.
