Eksplosionssikker isolationsboks - brug og forholdsregler

Explosion-proof isolation sealing box is generally used for flammable and explosive hazardous chemicals production, use or storage places. Explosion-proof requirements of the place not only need explosion-proof electrical equipment, the laying of electrical wiring also has to wear galvanized steel pipe requirements, in the joints of electrical wiring, the need for explosion-proof isolation sealing junction box.

Explosion-proof isolation sealing box

Scope of application: Suitable for explosive gas environment Zone 1, Zone 2, ⅡA, ⅡB, ⅡC class explosive gas environment, used as a steel pipe wiring system in the pipeline isolation.

Component features: the shell is formed by aluminum alloy candles, and the surface is high-pressure electrostatic spraying; it adopts pipe thread connection with better sealing performance; it has good sealing performance; there are four combinations, and each combination has eight specifications to meet different needs.

Use of explosion-proof isolation seals

Explosion-proof isolation seals are used in the following cases in the conduit system:

Steel pipe wiring in explosive environment Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 20, Zone 21 and Zone 22 should be well isolated and sealed, and should comply with the following provisions:

① The inlet of electrical equipment without sealing device shall be equipped with isolation seals.

② During normal operation, isolation seals shall be made within 450mm of all ignition source enclosures.

③ When the pipeline passes through the partition wall adjacent to any other place, lateral isolation seals should be installed on either side of the partition wall.

(iv) When the pipeline is introduced into other places through the floor or the ground, longitudinal seals shall be installed on the top of the floor or the ground.

⑤ Pipes with diameter of 50mm and above shall be equipped with isolation seals within 450mm from the introduced junction box and every 15m from it.

(6) Isolation seals shall be provided between adjacent explosive environments and between explosive environments and adjacent other hazardous or non-hazardous environments. Sealing, sealing the internal application of fiber as a filler layer of the bottom layer or compartment, the effective thickness of the filler layer should not be less than the inner diameter of the steel pipe, and shall not be less than 16mm.

(7) easy to accumulate condensate piping, should be installed below the vertical section of the drainage isolation seal, the drain should be placed below.

(8) for the isolation of the seal with the connecting parts, should not be used as a wire or sub-wire.

The production of isolation seals shall comply with the following provisions:

① isolation seals of the inner wall, should be free of rust, dust, oil.

② The wires shall not have joints inside the sealing member, and the distance between the wires and with the wall of the sealing member shall be even.

③ When the pipeline passes through the wall, floor or ground, the distance between the sealing member and the wall, floor or ground should not be more than 300mm, and there should be no joints in this section of the pipeline, and the holes should be blocked tightly.

④The seals shall be filled with water-setting powder sealing filler.

⑤ The packing of powder sealing filler should be sealed. The preparation of sealing filler should be in accordance with the technical regulations of the product, and the pouring time should not exceed the initial solidification time, and should be filled at once. After solidification, its surface should be free of cracks. Drainage isolation seals after filling the surface should be smooth, and can drain itself.

Explosion-proof isolation seals should be filled with filler, filler after solidification should be impervious to water, no shrinkage, no cracks, such as sealant, sealing mud, epoxy resin, sealing fiber. Isolation seals as part of the shell of the explosion-proof electrical equipment, the entire component should be certified explosion-proof and in line with the corresponding explosion-proof type. The packing thickness in the isolation seals should be at least equal to the diameter of the conduit and at least 16 mm.

Code of Practice for Electrical Safety in Hazardous Locations

1. Isolation seals are used in conduit systems in the following cases:

a) Where steel pipe passes through a partition wall adjacent to a different hazardous area, a transverse type isolation seal shall be provided on either side of the partition wall;

b) Whenever steel pipe is introduced into other areas through a floor or floor slab, longitudinal isolation seals shall be provided above the floor slab or floor slab.

c) within 450mm of all housings with ignition sources during normal operation; and

d) Where enclosures containing taps, connectors, cable heads or terminals are connected to conduits with a diameter of 50mm or more; all threaded connections of the conduits shall be tightly tightened.

e) Easy to accumulate condensate in the pipeline, should be installed below its vertical section of the drainage type isolation seals, the drain port should be placed below.

2. Isolation seals should be filled with filler, filler should be impervious to water after solidification, no shrinkage, no cracks, such as sealant, sealing mud, epoxy resin, sealing fiber. Isolation seals as part of the shell of explosion-proof electrical equipment, the entire component should be certified by the explosion-proof and in line with the corresponding explosion-proof type.

3. isolation seals in the packing thickness should be at least equal to the diameter of the conduit, at least not less than 16mm. 6.1.1.3.7 conduit contains more than one wire or cable, the total cross-sectional area of wires or cables does not exceed 40% of the cross-sectional area of the conduit.

4. Conductors shall have no joints in the isolation sealing box.

5. The distance between the isolation sealing member and the wall, floor, or ground when the conduit passes through the wall, floor, or ground shall not be more than 300㎜, and the holes shall be tightly plugged.

Precautions for using explosion-proof isolation seal in conduit system:

1. In humid environments or places where condensate may accumulate in the tube, the explosion-proof isolation sealing box should be of the drainage type.

2. During normal operation, the distance H between the isolation sealing box and all ignition sources shall not be greater than 450mm; when there is no isolation sealing in the connector parts of the electrical equipment itself, the isolation sealing box must be installed at a distance of not more than 450mm from the shell of the inlet/outlet equipment and as close as possible to the electrical equipment. The enclosure containing taps, splices, cable heads or terminals where they are connected to conduits with a diameter of 50mm or more.

3. where conduit passes through a wall, floor, or ground, isolate the sealing box from the wall (install a transverse type isolation seal on the hazardous area side of the partition wall. If both sides of the partition wall are explosion-proof area, it is enough to install it on either side), floor, flooring (when the conduit passes through the floor, flooring are installed above the flooring), the distance should not be more than 300mm, and the holes should be blocked tightly. Installation should not be too close to the wall, in order to facilitate installation.

4. in the production site, occasionally encountered explosion-proof electrical equipment out of the port and the distance from the floor is less than 750mm, for this case, the current requirements are in the floor, floor above the 300mm installation of an isolation sealing box can be. 5. in the installation of the sealing box sealing the floor, floor, are installed above the floor.

5. When installing the isolation sealing box sealing box, filler sealing should be used, filler should be used sealing mud or sealing fiber and epoxy resin with the use of filler solid should be impervious to water, no shrinkage, there is no crack; filler thickness at least equal to the diameter of the pipe diameter, at least not less than 16mm; wire in the isolation sealing box shall not have a joint.
